SOME THINGS JUST TAKE TIME!
This wholesome and satisfying sourdough loaf takes four days to mature using a ferment that works on the “wild” yeasts already present in the flour. This gives a full flavoured crust, with a chewy, tangy crumb. A Yorkshire take on Pain de Campagne.
The texture is much denser than everyday yeast raised bread, and goes well with either savoury or sweet accompaniments.
