Elizabeth Botham set up her bakery in the ancient fishing port of Whitby over 150 years ago. She began by selling bread and cakes from a basket at the local market and eventually bought the premises on Skinner Street.

Five Generations of Family Bakers
Today, Botham's traditions are proudly continued by the fifth generation of Elizabeth's family. Modern advances combine with traditional recipes & methods to a delicious outcome. We are proud of our five generations of bakers; we even make a fruit cake which pays homage to our family bakers past and present.
