Presented in a gothic black gift box tied with deep purple ribbon, we bring to you 'Vampire Selection' with Demeter Edition Whitby Gin, direct from the town in which Bram Stoker set his world-famous tale of Count Dracula. The Demeter Edition gin is distilled in Whitby; the distillery is now located on the very same cliff top which Dracula is thought to have climbed to the top of via the 199 steps when he disembarked the Demeter ship. 

Of the Demeter Edition gin, the Whitby Gin Distillery says: "This gin is a rich and juniper-forward spirit with sweet notes of Plum and a spiced finish.  Coastal botanicals pay tribute to the treacherous journey the Demeter and its crew had to endure from Varna to the UK. The use of plum was chosen for their rich flavour and because they are of course one of Bats favourite foods!" 

Topped with a solid Belgian chocolate baton, the 'Death by Chocolate' muffins (horrifyingly tasty, not actually deathly!) are baked with a view of Whitby Abbey and are made exclusively for this season.  Also in the black gift box, sink your teeth into the Elizabeth Botham Fruit Cake - watch out for the ruby red cherries, and peel back the black wax to reveal Black Bomber Mature Cheddar which makes a mouth-wateringly delicious partnership with the fruit cake. Whitby Gin - Demeter Edition (Information taken from www.whitbydistillery.com)

Palate: This rich gin has sweet notes of plum and vanilla that is followed by a kick of pepper dulse. The powerful coastal flavours fade into a pleasantly spiced finish. 

Nose: It’s fragrant on the nose, led by the heather tip, rosehip and elderflower

Serve: Enjoyable on the rocks as well as a gin and tonic. Fill a glass with lots of chunky ice and add 50ml of Gin. Pair with 150ml of Pink Peppercorn tonic & garnish with a slice of orange & black peppercorns.
