Processing your order:

We will download your order during normal office hours and we will aim to post it out for your requested ideal delivery date, or as near as possible to it, depending on the required items and availability

If perishable/short shelf-life goods are ordered, we work around their availability for you, for example - we will not post out parcels containing perishable/short shelf-life goods (eg bread, scones, pies), clotted cream or cheese on a Friday for delivery Monday, as they wouldn't keep, we'll post these for you on the next available posting day.

This website accepts orders under £1000. For orders over this, see our Gifting Service page for more information.

Orders over £500 are eligible for a discount of 2.5%, enter code DISCOUNTOVER500 (discounts exclude any postage costs, which are not discountable). For further information on discounts for larger orders see our Gifting Service page.

Delivery dates:

Please note that although we will always endeavour to arrange to have your order delivered in time for your 'preferred date for delivery', we can’t guarantee delivery for a specific date or time. We will aim to post it out for your requested ideal delivery date, or as near as possible to it depending on the required items and availability

If fresh goods are ordered, we work around their availability for you, for example - we will not post out parcels containing fresh bakes (eg bread and scones), clotted cream or cheese on a Friday for delivery Monday, as they wouldn't keep, we would post these on the next posting day.

I want to post to Highlands or Islands Areas:

We only offer Royal Mail 1-3 day delivery to the following postcode areas:
AB, FK, HS, IM, IV, KA, KW, PA, PH, ZE.

Posting to these locations takes time, 1-3 days usually. Although you may be able to choose a hamper or item that contains fresh bakes (bread, scones, pies), cheese or clotted cream to post to these locations, we don't think the recipient would enjoy these being days old, stale or off by the time they arrive... So with that in mind, we will substitute anything we think won't make the journey for something equally delicious and to the same value.

Your DPD delivery:

You will receive an email/text when we create the label if you provided us with these details. You will receive updates from DPD as your order is loaded onto the van, and will receive a 1 hour time slot on the day of delivery. DPD allow you to change the date, address and leave notes for a safe place etc – follow the link you receive. Parcels may require a signature on receipt or a photo of the delivery will be made. If there is no-one at home, a card is usually left by the delivery company or a photo taken, and a second attempt will be made.

If a parcel is returned to us because there have been a number of failed attempted deliveries, we will offer to resend the parcel but there will be an additional charge for the postage and new packaging should it be required. Note that it is not the fault or responsibility of Botham's of Whitby if the recipient is not in to receive the parcel.

Your Royal Mail delivery:

You will receive an email/text when we create the label if you provided us with these details. You will be able to track your order. If there is no-one at home, your postman or postwoman may leave the parcel in Safeplace at the property for you, if they can see somewhere they deem suitable, and leave a 'Something for You Card'. If they cannot find a suitable Safeplace and cannot deliver to a neighbour, they will return the parcel to a local Royal Mail Customer Service Point and leave a 'Something for You Card'.

If a parcel is returned to us because of failed attempted deliveries or collection, we will offer to resend the parcel but there will be an additional charge for the postage and new packaging should it be required. Note that it is not the fault or responsibility of Botham's of Whitby if the recipient is not in to receive the parcel.

Large & Corporate Orders:

We are delighted to supply large orders of hampers, gifts and bespoke hampers for collection, to one address via pallet, or to multiple addresses via DPD or Royal Mail. See our Gifting Service page.
