Pink Sugar Shortbread is Botham's own recipe Scotch Bread - a delicious shortbread enriched with butter and topped with pink sugar. The perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea, but it does come with a warning... It is particularly moreish!

Pink Sugar Shortbread always reminds us of Elizabeth Botham's daughter-in-law Violet who worked alongside her in the bakery. She was particularly good at pastry making and always enjoyed Pink Sugar Shortbread on her breaks. For Mother's Day 2020, we created a Violet Sugar Shortbread where we swapped pink sugar for violet to celebrate Violet's influence on the business.
